About me!

I am a third year Cal Poly Humboldt student majoring in journalism with a minor in film. I am currently the Editor in Chief of El Leñador, Cal Poly Humboldt’s student-run bilingual newspaper. With a passion for diversity in media and sharing perspectives of underrepresented communities, my time on El Leñador has connected me to a deeper form of storytelling. I am a passionate photographer and my work has been featured on several covers of the newspaper.
I have also published photographs and long form feature stories with Osprey magazine, Cal Poly Humboldt’s student-run publication. I was a writer, editor and head layout designer for Redwood Roots, a publication that focused on stories highlighting campus and community connection. I am a radio DJ for KRFH 105.1 student-run radio station, where I host two weekly one hour shows. As a film minor, I am working on student film projects in a variety of roles, with a heavy focus on leading as a director of photography and cinematographer. I currently work at The Press at Cal Poly Humboldt, where I collaborate with authors to publish their books, and create the layout and design for every page.
I look forward to furthering my passion for written and visual storytelling as I continue my journalism career!
